Furosemide, a diuretic, is used to remove excess fluid from the body in conditions such as heart disease, lung disease, and swelling. It may also be used in racehorses that get nosebleeds when they race.
Furosemide should be used with caution when your pet has: sulfa allergy, kidney disease, diabetes, or electrolyte imbalance. Make sure your pet has plenty of food and water while on this medication. It is usually dosed 1-3 times daily with or without food
